Why it is in the guide

The pub’s story

Campervan Brewery separates a 2014 company incorporation from its own account of opening the brewery in Leith in 2017. Its story begins with a garage, a 1973 VW Campervan called Olive and transient brews before the Leith operation; that is the operator’s founding narrative. The public-facing site has continued to change: CAMRA records the taproom reopening in June 2024 after expansion into the neighbouring unit, so older views of a smaller arrangement are not the whole current venue. Today the industrial Jane Street taproom and beer garden pour the brewery’s core, limited and exclusive beers alongside wine, spirits, soft drinks and rotating local food vendors. CAMRA also records Nomad Pale being served by gravity from cask from January 2025. It is a young production-site taproom whose real interest is visible growth, current brewing and flexible food partnerships. Not invented industrial antiquity.

During your visit

What to notice

  1. 01

The taproom expanded in 2024, so older photographs can understate the present size and layout.

  2. 02

The food offer is based on rotating local vendors and pop-ups rather than a fixed in-house kitchen.

  3. 03

The operator describes the site as child- and dog-friendly; events and food-vendor details should be checked close to your visit.

Sources & confidence

The operator supplies the 2017 founding account and current taproom offer. CAMRA independently documents the June 2024 expansion and reopening, January 2025 cask service and July 2026 update. The profile therefore treats pre-expansion frontage material as historic rather than current.
