Whilst You’re Here provides independent editorial information, route ideas, maps and personal record-keeping tools. It is not an agent for any venue and does not take bookings, sell alcohol or guarantee entry.
Check before you travel
Opening hours, prices, events, access arrangements, transport and venue operations can change without notice. Historical research can also be corrected as stronger evidence appears. Check important details with the venue or relevant service before setting out.
Maps, routes, walking estimates and night plans are suggestions. Consider closures, weather, personal mobility, public transport and local conditions.
Accounts and private content
Keep sign-in details secure and provide accurate information. You are responsible for activity through your account. Do not upload unlawful, harmful, abusive or privacy-invasive material, or content you do not have permission to use.
Photos and public sharing
You keep ownership of material you contribute. When you explicitly share a visit photo or note publicly, you give Whilst You’re Here a non-exclusive permission to store, resize, moderate and display it for that feature. You can return it to private visibility or delete the visit. Public material may already have been copied by someone else.
We may hide or remove material to protect people, comply with law or keep the guide appropriate.
Editorial rights
The app’s original writing, layout, branding and compiled research are protected by applicable intellectual-property law. You may use the guide for ordinary personal use and share links to its pages. Do not republish substantial parts, scrape the service or imply endorsement without permission.
Venue names, logos and third-party source material belong to their respective owners.
Responsible use
Pub routes are not drinking targets. Follow Scottish licensing law and venue age policies, drink responsibly if you choose alcohol, use alcohol-free options, eat, hydrate and arrange a safe journey home. The service is not intended for children.
Availability and responsibility
We work to keep the app useful and secure but cannot promise uninterrupted availability or that every item is error-free. Nothing here limits rights or responsibilities that cannot lawfully be limited.
