The pub’s story
Teuchters Landing puts Leith's transport history beside the Water of Leith. The operator and CAMRA describe the main bar as the former waiting room for the Leith to Aberdeen steamboat ferry, and the present pub opened in 2008. Its low red-brick building, conservatory, beer garden, floating pontoon and bothy spread the visit across several waterside spaces. Hunters & Frankau separately lists the covered, heated outdoor seating as a cigar terrace. The operator's current page confirms the outdoor area's 22:00 closing time, but does not advertise cigars for sale, so cigar stock and permission should be checked directly before travelling. Indoors, the focus remains Scottish food, beer and a large malt whisky list. The cigar appeal is therefore the sheltered dockside setting and a specialist listing, while the ferry-room story and working-harbour location supply the history.

Sources & confidence
The operator and CAMRA corroborate the Dock Place identity, ferry waiting-room history and current waterside layout; the Scottish Parliament independently records the 2008 opening. Hunters & Frankau lists the covered, heated outdoor seating as a terrace for cigar smokers. The current operator page confirms that outdoor space and its 22:00 closing time but does not advertise cigar sales, so the record avoids claiming guaranteed stock. Geograph and Corner cross-check the waterside appearance and address. Scottish smoke-free guidance explains why the cigar experience is outdoors.
